Tempeh is possibly one of the best food products originating from Indonesia. It consists of fermented soybeans made from a controlled culturing process that binds them into a cake. It is delicious and highly nutritious. Given its potential as an alternative source of protein to meat, its possibilities as a food product are compelling.

Launched in 2021, Tempe Park is a 5.8-hectare Research and Development (R&D) centre located in West Java, focusing on conducting R&D activities in raw materials, production processes and finished products for tempeh.

FKS plans to work with more than 100,000 tempeh and tofu SMEs across Indonesia, providing knowledge and resources and collaborating to develop sustainable, tasty, hygienic, high quality and high value-add tempeh and its related derivatives.

In addition, FKS Food and Agri is working to collaborate with other stakeholders to conduct a feasibility study on the current tempeh and tofu industry landscape and potential effects from our planned initiatives.

‘Bola Bonanza’, an app-based loyalty program tailored for SMEs, was launched as part of our corporate social responsibility initiatives. Customers participating in the programme will stand a chance to win attractive prizes from lucky draws.

Since the launch of Bola Bonanza in 2020, we have given away over USD 1.0 million worth of prizes to local communities spread across Java and other parts of Indonesia.

We are highly aware of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the livelihoods of many, and as part of our support for the United Nations’ effort to eliminate hunger worldwide, we donated food staples such as rice, cooking oil and noodles to various local communities.

As part of our COVID-19 prevention programme, aside from distributing disinfectants, hand sanitisers and disposal masks to the communities around our operations. We also collaborated with local medical facilities by donating ventilators, personal protective equipment, rapid test kits and provided financial assistance.
